I went Flower Crazy!!! (photos that is...)
These were all from around my house. My camera settings were:
ISO 200
SS (shutter speed) 800
AP (Apager) 5.6
The day was a bright day. I have learned that SS speed being at a higher # will make the picture darker. If the number was really low like 30 or even 100 the pictures would have been much BRIGHTER.
ISO helps the SS work more efficiently. So with the ISO setting at 200 it is like my shutter being at 1600 instead of the 800 it really is. (Just helps your camera out some. )
Now the lesson for me is to learn exactly what AP does. I am so not an expert... but this is what I can pass on to you for now. The settings I had for the flowers today would work GREAT in UTAH and the VERY sunny days you have. To help your pics look warmer.
