My first's first!
Her smile of joy is because she lost her very first tooth on March 2nd - Her daddy's 36th birthday!!! She loosened it up with an apple and then had her daddy pull it out for her. It was funny to see Daddy and Daughter so happy over that one moment and that little tooth. As for myself, I just about vomited over the sound of the tooth being extracted! EWE! But have to admit that being a tooth fairy was quite the treat :)
Five days later tooth #2 decided it was its turn to come out. Of coarse, Miriam used the trusty apple to help loosen it up. This time I became a bit more brave and helped wiggle it just a bit (can I say EWE again!) But Nathan was freaking out because HE wanted to pull it out! ROFL! I have never seen him so excited hehehehe. He can have the job! (gag... gag... um, can I gag a bit more!) So I willingly had Miriam go to him for the final pull. Miriam was so grateful for her dad and his assisting her in getting another visit from the tooth fairy.
The tooth fairy then brings the teeth - after depositing the coins in Miriam's special tooth box under her pillow - to me so that I can save them in a special pill container that we purchased for each of our children. Sounds weird I know... but my mom had saved all of our teeth in one box. So it is a bit of a tradition, except that I bought them each their own box so they can keep their teeth later in life if they want.
