*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*Our Pixie Dust *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Nathanya started so small - a mere 4lbs 7oz. She is not only small, she is quiet as a mouse as well. We have often called her squeeker because the only noise we would hear from her was like a small squeek. Well, lately, we have come up with a new nick name for our precious moments child ~ Our Pixie Dust! I think this name evolved, not only because of her size, but because she is that little bit of magic that brings about GREAT things in our home! Her smile, her laughter, her presence - though quiet and small her package - Brightens our entire lives in a way that no other can. Her laughter is contagious, her outbursts shock us greatly, and her smile melts everyones heart. Oh, and those tears - affect us to the point that we all pitch in to make her smile again.
I never imagined having twins... I had found out I was pregnant the 2nd time when I was 4 weeks along. The baby was doing great. They monitored me closely weekly. At 9 weeks - the very end of the appointment the dr. noticed something. Another fetus had been found. The baby measured 2 weeks behind the first and continued in the same pattern throughout the pregnancy. The dr. explained that it was his feeling and belief that Twin B (Nathanya) had indeed been conceived 2 weeks after Twin A. That the occurance was a very rare thing to happen, but with how my body works (ovulating on both sides multiple follicles per cycle - PCOS) and how the pregnancy was including their developments, that they were indeed 2 weeks different in age.
It was shocking to find out we were having twins... exciting to hear they were boy girl!!! The best of both worlds. Then, I delivered them... and almost lost Nathanya in the process. That little package meant the world to me! Yes, I had Miriam and Jared. Yes, she was an added surprise. A surprise that God knew we needed in our home. Since... she and Miriam have been the best of friends. She is also a great twin sister to Jared. He is so loud and boisterous... and she compliments him very well. She really is our little princess... and best of all our Pixie Dust. That added sparkle in our hearts!
